Does this still work??

After posting on some of the photo websites and not getting a lot of feedback, I'll ask the experts. Does this photo still work? I was using the 300mm prime and fired the shutter just a split second too late. I still like it. What does everybody think.

Works for me. I'm not sure what you mean by shot a split second too late. They overflow the frame but at least you left room for a moving object to move into. Had you left less room to the left or clipped the top plane rather than the bottom one, the effect would make the viewer uncomfortable.
