Collings Foundation B-17 & B-24

The Collings Foundation brought their B-17 & B-24 to Livermore during the Memorial Day weekend. I'm finally getting around to sorting through the pictures that I took during their evening flights. If they stop at an airport near you it's worth making the trek to check them out. If you can find a spot at the end of the runway while they take off and land its even better. Best would be to plop down the $400 and take the flight if you can swing it.

I was unable to get out to my local airport when the foundation visited. Now that I see your shots, it really drives home the point that non-avaition activities suck. Great stuff Rick, Love the head on stuff. That was the same thing I was going to try. Damn. Maybe next year.

Thanks Bill, there's not many things that can beat a warbird filling up your viewfinder. You've got to learn to keep those non-aviation committments to a minimum.
