Been browsing through all the old photos on Shorpy.com and came across and photographer by the name of Alfred Palmer. There's a few pages of photo of various aircraft (and the workers) on the assembly line during WWII. Pretty cool stuff to look back on.

Looks like the Ford Rouge(sp?) plant...
