Pictures floating all over FB of some rather overheated exhaust shrouds after heat 3A on Strega. Anyone on site have further details?

Is the torn chrome piece a fairing for exhaust? Is it a cosmetic piece to help decrease drag over the exhaust pipes?

What would cause the tearing of the metal? A small crack that gets enlarged by a 475mph wind speed and engine vibration?

Looks like a broken weld on one of the pipes..leading to excessive heat on the shroud itself.

I assume the pilot has no idea that this is going on outside?
