My Brother and I went to the Lee Bottom Fly-In today at Hanover, Indiana in his Super Cub and my Champ. On the way down, the wind was 30 kts on the nose and I saw an average ground speed of about 44 kts. So an easy trip took 1:25! On the way home, I saw 103 kts and :50. What a difference! As you'll see from the photos, there was a little of everything there. The hit was as we were getting ready to depart, the DC-3 did some fly-bys that were up close and personal. Then, when he landed, he dragged it in over, and slightly into, the corn! How he kept stalks out of the gear, I'll never know. But it was VERY entertaining! BTW, with the wind, there were lots of wheel landings today. Enjoy, Peas
