I helped my brother run a fun-fly event last weekend at the AMA National Flying site in Muncie, IN. We were towing scale R/C gliders with gas models. Spans for the gliders range anywhere from 10 to 20+ feet. I was flying a 4M ASW-27. We usually tow to 1,000 to 1,500 ft, then see if we can find lift. I had one flight up to 2,500'. Enjoy, Peas

Well, things are going to happen in rapid succession now... I'm going to do a final database backup at 2:30PM CST today. After the vBulletin team gets it - the new site should be operational "with all posts" soon thereafter. Then following a series of checks, and if all goes well, I'll post a link to the new forums here soon.

Re: OT: R/C Aerotow Video
All the tows you saw were at 1/2-3/4 throttle. Ask for a vertical tow and Johnny will GLADLY oblige! At scale X/C Nats three years ago, he towed one guy to 4,000 ft! Visibility conditions were obviously ideal. (i.e., overcast) The most fun is a vertical tow with oposing rolls on the way up...Rutan Long EZ, N-LONG
