"Mew Gull"
Of only six built, Percival E.2H Mew Gull, G-AEXF, is the only surviving example of this rare English raceplane. In 1938 the actual aircraft shown in the digital photograph above was clocked at 270 mph, faster than military fighters of its time!
Travelers to Europe will find the Mew Gull as part of the "Real Aeroplane Company" collection, located at Breighton, England. The Mew Gull was flown by Tony Smith last year at the Reno Air Races.
A quick internet search brings up several examples of the airplane available as model kits.
