"Raising The Mark"

When this website was very young, we were introduced to a man from Europe whom, over the years we have known him, has become one of our close and valued friends, Dominique Thirot.

From our first meeting in 1998 with our French associate, his vast talent was immediately obvious. As the years we've known him have rolled by, Dominique has continued to astound us with his photographic contributions to aafo.com. His latest submission has raised the mark at which all of us who photograph the airplanes of Air Racing must aim for. This photograph of Ron Buccarelli's "Precious Metal" shot at "Reno 2002" shows just how good Dominique's work can be.

Besides being one of the greats in this "game" Dominique is also a computer programmer in his "Day Job." As such, Dominique now has his own website where he showcases his vast collection of photography from around the world of Aviation. We encourage you to visit his site and enjoy his work!
