This highly race modified P-51D Mustang is owned by
Terry Bland and piloted by Bruce Lockwood. This was Terry's first year as Dago Red's new
owner. With crew members and key support personnel like Bill Kerchenfant and Dwight Thorn,
an aircraft which has in the past lapped the course at over 490+ MPH and a veteran race
pilot like Bruce Lockwood, this team had all the ingredients of a winner. And win they
did, taking the Gold during Sunday's main event at a race speed of 450.599 MPH. |
