The P-51D Mustang Risky Business and Bill Rheinschild have long been a mainstay at Reno. Just as in years before, the aircraft underwent more than a few aerodynamic mods during the course of the event (i.e. stock canopy to racing canopy and than back to the stock). A close inspection of a few of the photos above will show the main gear doors open during flight - and these pictures were taken during the qualifying days. Yes, Bill had his share of problems too, but all that was behind him on Sunday when he finished 3rd in the Gold Class Event at a speed of 420.572 MPH.
