Here we have well over 100 years of racing experience all in one photograph. This is the Gold Race at Reno 1998. In the lead is the formidable Ray Cote in "Alley Cat". Ray has been racing since the 1960s, and has a remarkable 12 Reno Championships in three different airplanes. Gary Hubler, in "Mariah", has yet to win at Reno, but has 15 years of experience and many top three finishes in the Gold. Gaining rapidly is Jon Sharp in Nemesis. Jon started racing in 1978, and has 11 Reno Gold wins in two airplanes... Finally we have Jim Miller, who easily holds the record for the longest career in any air racing class. Jim started racing more than 50 years ago and has innumerable Gold Races and a Championship under his belt.
