Jim Miller has had one of the most remarkable careers in the history of Air Racing. He first raced in 1949 flying "Little Gem", a Formula 1race plane of his own design. He successfully raced this airplane for 13 years achieving 17 top 3 finishes. (This airplane was subsequently raced under many owners right into the early 1980s.) Since the mid-1970s, Jim has been developing various models of his unique pusher design. "Pushy Cat" is the third major redesign.
