An arrival from
Ione, California, the veteran Sea Fury racer,
"Miss Merced," the former mount of the
late Dr. Sherman Cooper. The aircraft won the
1000 Mile races of 1970 at Mojave (the California
1000) and San Diego, California (The Brown Cup
Race). The aircraft was piloted at NGS by
aircraft owner, Stephen Bolander, who told us:
"it’s going to look really good when
it’s finished," this race plane is
scheduled to get a very wild flame job on the
