Howard Hughes' Flying Boat Spruce Goose Update

In order to reach the elevated flight deck of the worlds first heavy lift transport airplane, you climb a narrow winding spiral staircase from the deck below. Imagine, if you will, over 50 years ago — a tall gentleman wearing a fedora hat climbing these very stairs on his journey to immortality. Though Howard Robard Hughes did many great things in his life, outside of the tragic circumstances of his death, he will always be remembered most for his accomplishment with this airplane and that famous flight on November second of 1947.
