Fast Facts - September 29, 2001

RECENT CANCELLATIONS

As the high state of military alert continues, three additional organizations cancelled their air shows scheduled for later this fall: Amigo AirSho, scheduled for October 13-14 in El Paso, Texas; Edwards Air Force Base Open House and Air Show, scheduled for October 27 at Edwards Air Force Base in California; and Scottsdale Airfair, scheduled for November 9-11 in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Amigo AirSho is being rescheduled for May of 2002. The Scottsdale Airfair will be held again on Veteran's Day weekend of 2002.

AMIGO CANCELLATION PROMPTS POSTPONEMENT OF ICAS ACADEMY

Due to the cancellation of the October 13-14 Amigo AirSho in El Paso, ICAS has postponed its ICAS Academy program scheduled to be held in conjunction with the Amigo AirSho. The registration fees of all participants will be refunded within the next several days.

The following events have confirmed that they are still planning to hold their events: Vintage Years Air Show, scheduled for September 29 in Visalia, California; Wings and Wheels Air Show, scheduled for September 29-30 in Bessemer, Alabama; Boshears Skyfest 2001 scheduled for September 20-21 in Augusta, Georgia has been rescheduled to October 20-21; Madison Air Show, scheduled for October 6 in Madison, Indiana; Confederate Air Force AirSho, scheduled for October 6-7 in Midland, Texas; Kingman Air and Auto Show, scheduled for October 6-7 in Kingman, Arizona; Tucumcari Rotary Club Air Show, scheduled for October 10 in Tucumcari, New Mexico; Wings over Houston, scheduled for October 20-21; East Texas Yamboree Airshow and Fly-In, scheduled for October 19 in Gilmer,Texas; Yuba-Sutter Air Expo, scheduled for October 13 in Marysville, California; Sertoma Cajun Air Festival, scheduled for October 27-28 in Lafayette, Louisiana; Sea and Sky Spectacular, scheduled for November 3-4 in Jacksonville, Florida; Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show, scheduled for November 9-10 in Pensacola, Florida; Wings and Waves, scheduled for November 10-11 in Daytona Beach, Florida; and the Stuart Air Show, scheduled for November 10-11 in Stuart, Florida.

The following shows have confirmed that their 2001 events have been officially cancelled: Tupelo Air Fest, scheduled for September 29-30 in Tupelo, Mississippi; NAS Meridien Air Show, scheduled for September 29 in Meridien, Mississippi; Santa Barbara Air Show, Whiteman AFB Air Show, scheduled for October 3 in Whiteman, MO; scheduled for October 6 in Santa Barbara, California; Page-Lake Powell Air Affaire, scheduled for October 6-7 in Page, Arizona; San Francisco Fleet Week Air Show, scheduled for October 6-7; MCAS Miramar Air Show, scheduled for October 12-14 in San Diego; Amigo AirSho, scheduled for October 13-14 in El Paso, Texas; N'Awlins Air Show, scheduled for October 19-21 in New Orleans; Las Cruces Air Fair, scheduled for October 20 in Las Cruces, New Mexico; Edwards Air Force Base Open House and Air Show, scheduled for October 27 at Edwards Air Force Base in California; and Scottsdale Airfair, scheduled for November 9-11 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
