in "Dago Red's" pit at the 2001
National Championship Air Race event. Engine
troubles were reported by individuals close to
both "Dago Red" and "Team
Strega," which means that the races of 2001
might well have been between the rookie, Ron
Buccarelli, in "Precious Metal," and
veteran Tom Dwelle, in "Critical Mass."
Coulda, woulda, shoulda...we'll now wait a year
to see if Dago Red and Strega return stronger,
and the barnburner planned for 2001 now is
postponed until 2002...
...which
should be even more exciting considering
"Dreadnought," "Rare Bear"
and "Voodoo" all stand to make their
return next September.
