Jim Wright
will demonstrate his recently
completed Hughes Racer at
Aviation Nation 2002, the Nellis
Air Force Base Air Show, being
held October 5-6, 2002 at Las
Vegas, Nevada. This is a very new
story and the exact appearance
schedule is currently being
worked out between World of Wings
and Mr. Wright, who will fly the
airplane during the upcoming
show. As of this writing,
there are plans underway for a
speed record attempt by Wright
with the airplane at Aviation
Nation. Exact details of this
attempt are not available at this
time due to the absolute newness
of this exciting development.
The
appearance at Nellis AFB will
coincide with the World of
Wings-produced Unlimited Air
Racing demonstrations for
Aviation Nation. This development
is another story all by itself
and we will have more detailed
information on this subject here
on AAFO.COM shortly; but as of
now, we know that six of the top
Unlimited Air Race teams have
accepted invitations to appear at
Nellis AFB, and all will be
giving daily Air Racing
demonstrations.
Aviation
Nation 2002, is the first air

annual Air Shows at Nellis AFB,
Nevada, which is situated on the
outskirts of Las Vegas. Aviation
Nation 2002 is expected to

the two-day event.
Next
years event, Aviation
Nation 2003, will celebrate the
50th anniversary of
the Thunderbirds, the Centennial
of Flight, and the 60th
anniversary of Nellis AFB
all in one year. This show is
expected to attract over a half

the most publicized Air Shows in
the world next year.
