The 500 MPH Lap
The Run:

At one end of the ramp, the victors set about to make history. At the other end, a disappointed crew prepared to move their airplane back to the pits. A brilliantly flown second place position had been relegated to fifth place due to a starting line mishap.

Voodoo race pilot, Matt Jackson would later apologize to his crew and airplane owner for his "jump" at the beginning of the race... Though he realized he had gotten on the throttle a split second too soon, the very slick airframe of Voodoo does not slow easily and he could not regain his position in line at the start.

Airplane, crew and pilot performed beautifully all week and congratulations are in order to all involved in the Voodoo project. Many people have labored for years to make this week possible for Team Voodoo, including years of testing by former Voodoo pilot, Bob "Buckwheat" Hannah. From all of us at AAFO.COM we say Well Done VOODOO!
