Race 29 Czech Ride

Sam Richardson's Yak 11 performed fairly well all week. Posting a 349.920mph qualifying run, Richardson finished fourth at 324.455mph on Thursday; sixth at 309.980mph on Friday; fifth at 336.307mph on Saturday. Richardson did not finish lap 7 during the Bronze Final Unlimited Race.

The Yak 11 has become a familiar sight at Reno, from the basic stock versions, to the highly modified, re-engined, full-on raceplane, Czech Mate.

As development on this airframe type continues, the winners circle may yet see one of the diminutive Russian trainers.
