Reno 2000: The Week in Pictures
Lady Jo

Robbie Patterson and Race 81, "Lady Jo," on climbout from Reno-Stead. "Lady Jo" is the latest in a field of racers campaigned by pilots from the "Planes of Fame Air Museum," in Chino, California. Past "rides" include "The Pond Racer," "Tsunami," the "Super Corsair," "Spam Can," "Platinum Plus," and the RB-51 "Red Baron," just to name a few.

Speaking of diversity, the Air Museum's pilots have also raced an XP-51A (Reno), and a North American B-25 Mitchell (Sacramento). Their President, Steve Hinton, flies T-33 pace at the Reno National Championship Air Races.
