Reno 2000: The Week in Pictures
Voodoo began it's racing life as Bill Speer's "Pegasus," Race 55, which was campaigned by Delbert Williams. The aircraft later became "Voodoo Chile," then simply "Voodoo," after undergoing a major transformation from Stock Mustang to hybrid racing P-51, ala Sumthin' Else, Strega and Dago Red. The aircraft has seen three more pilots since its transformation, including Bob Hannah, Darryl Greenamyer, and now Matt Jackson. Previously trouble-plagued, the aircraft was near perfection at this year's 2000 National Championship Air Races. Thus, 2001 bodes well for both Team and Pilot coming off their experience at R2K.
