Reno 2000: Sunday AT-6 Gold
"Two of Hearts" also has a long history. It was raced for many years by Ralph Rina as "Miss Everything" and took a championship in 1978. After being raced for a couple of years by Jimmy Gist as "Blue Bayou," the airplane was purchased by the Dilda’s and has been raced by them ever since. Mary was lucky to be in the Gold this year. Her long-suffering crew, lead by crew chief Carl Best, spent all of race week chasing many missing horsepower. After changing carburators, magnetos and even a cylinder, they finally found a small crack in an exhaust pipe, regaining the lost power.
