The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), Chapter 723 announces its 25th annual Air Show at Ventura County's Camarillo Airportl. The event will take place the weekend of August 27-28. This is always a fun family event and this year’s theme is "Youth and Aviation". This is one show you should plan to spend all day at! Start with the traditional pancake breakfast sponsored by the Ninety-Nines. The official air show won't start until 1:00 but the skies will be busy all morning. Starting around 9:00 there will be plenty of fly-bys from experimental and vintage aircraft.

One of the highlights of the weekend will be hands on flight activities for children of all ages and there are opportunities for the public to take plane rides. Spend the morning enjoying the diverse aircraft, talking with pilots and enjoying the variety of displays. You can learn about the history of the Camarillo Airport at the Commemorative Air Force hangar and have the opportunity to talk with WW II flying aces. Don't forget your camera and a bunch of CF cards or film because where ever you sit your always very close to the action.

The opening ceremony is at 1:00. The National Anthem and color guard signal the start of a couple of hours packed full of antique and classic aircraft, experimental aircraft and many different types of Warbirds. There will be aerobatic displays by Rob Harrison flying the Czech built Zlin 50 and Ellsworth Getchell is scheduled to fly aerobatics in his Hawker Sea Fury!

Before the gates close at 5:00, there's still time to enjoy the displays, food, fun and the friendly atmosphere of this special airport.

Donations are $6.00 for adults. Admission for children twelve and under is free. There is no charge for parking and handicap parking is available. Proceeds from the weekend support the Young Eagles program and other aviation activities in the community.
