One of
Southern Californias largest
aviation events, the annual "Planes
of Fame" Air show, is scheduled for
May 21 and 22, 2005 at the Chino Airport.
Gates will open at 8:00 and
flying activities will start about 11:00
with the National Anthem and Missing Man
Formation by four P-47 Thunderbolts. The
event will include aerobatic routines,
solo and formation flyovers, static
displays and a grand finale featuring a
mass flyover of vintage fighters,
bombers, trainers and transport aircraft.
Highlights of the event will
include both U.S. Air Force Heritage
Flight and Navy Tailhook Legacy Flight
demonstrations. The U.S. Air Force
Heritage Flight will have an A-10
Thunderbolt and a P-47 Thunderbolt in
formation. The Navy Tailhook Legacy
Flight will be the Navys F-18 Super
Hornet and the F8F Bearcat in formation.

General admission to Air
show 2005 will be $15, youngsters 5-11
will be admitted for $5 and admission is
free for children under 5. A substantial
saving can be realized by purchasing
tickets in advance directly from The Air
Museum before May 21, 2005; advance
discount tickets are $10 for general
admission and $4 for youngsters.
There is also a $2 off
coupon available at the Air show 2004
website. Souvenir and memorabilia stands
will be available to the public along
with refreshment booths and ample,
convenient free parking.
