the child who once stood at the gate to their future-"

The slogan above describes the basis of the future of aviation and quite surely is within the heart of this wide-eyed watcher. Catching her eye is the engine installation process on the nearly reassembled "Spruce Goose" that took place in mid January at McMinnville, Oregon in the new home of the historic Hughes flying machine.

Look closely in those eyes... I certainly did while I was there photographing the process. She was utterly captivated with every move of the workmen and studied every inch of the airplane she could see from her perch at...
