"Red Knight Returns"

Another year at Sun-n-Fun is in the bag!

This year was just a "tad" different for me, instead of having my total focus on taking pictures, I flew back to the annual EAA gathering to help out a new performer just hitting the airshow circuit this season. Chris Rounds has begun campaigning the Canadair CT-133 Silver Star version of the Lockheed T-33 known as "The Red Knight" formerly flown by the late Rick Brickert and Dennis Sanders.

And I might add, much to the delight of the fans I saw rushing up to get a look every time Chris started his big "Red Knight" on the ramp at the Lakeland Linder Airport in Lakeland, Florida. I'll have to admit, between playing "crew" for Chris and my Nikon D1 going south on me during the show intermittently, I was pretty lucky to get the few shots that I did manage. I'd like to thank Chris, his Mom and Dad and Carl Kirkpatrick for a great time in Sunny Florida playing with "The Red Jet" and the Red Knight Airshows Team!
