"343 Days"

343 days and counting, just less than a year to go.

Some might call this year's Reno "a bad luck year." Looking at the "half full glass," what might we see from the racers who went home with completely healthy, ready-to-race airplanes for the first time in Reno's 38 year history?

A year to smooth airflow, a year to chase details normally left off the list due to other, more pressing matters.

Like making an airplane flyable!

Was there really no racing this year at Reno? Or was this just another round of racing in the great pylon chess match?

Think of it, an entire field that went home ready to race next year and all of them have an entire year to make things even better for next time. Will they sit back and enjoy a year off from preparations?

I doubt it!

Reno 2002 is shaping up to be the single most interesting year in Reno Air Racing history!

And it's only 343 days away.
