"Lovely Gianna"

Each year as the month of September approaches, Air Race fans across the country and around the world wait in anticipation for their event. The crown Jewell of the sport. "RENO" The Reno (Nevada) National Championship Air Races.

No small part of this anticipation is the hope that something new will be seen racing. Nothing whets the avid Air Race fan's appetite for the high speed competition more than the thought of an unknown commodity battling it out in the sky over the former U.S. Air Force base, now known as the Reno Stead Airport.

This year, Biplane racer Jeff Lo stepped up to the plate with his Chris Ferguson built "Super Pitts," Race 13.. Jeff honored his late wife by naming his first racer after her, his new airplane is graced with the name of their daughter "Miss Gianna".
