The "host" for
our time on the field during the race events at
AirVenture 2001, Jimmy Leeward.
Leeward has been
instrumental in bringing Air Racing to Oshkosh
and has a keen eye on growing the sport. One of
the most dedicated players in Air Racing, Leeward
has raced his polished P-51 "Cloud
Dancer" at most of the events held in the
past two+ decades; Jimmy also has another
airplane "up his sleeve.
The airplane most well
known as "LARS" or the "Leeward
Air Ranch Special" has a very colorful
racing history of its own, If leeward can obtain
sufficient sponsorship, watch for his "other
airplane" in competition once again in the
worlds fastest motorsport.
