Reno Stead Airport
June 23, 2004The other day on the AAFO
Hangar Talk Message board, Jon Sharp
spoke of the dream start that it would be
if he, Darryl Greenamyer and John Parker,
were all together at the beginning of the
Gold finals on Sunday at Reno 2004.
It looks
like that dream start could become a
reality!
In a press
release just received at AAFO, John
Parker was able to confirm the hope he
had expressed last week at Pylon Racing
School, that all was well this year for
his entry into competition once again...

Release Content:
"American Air Racing is
pleased to announce the participation of
John Parker and American Air Racing in
the 2004 National Championship Air Races
and Air Show in Reno, Nevada. Following a
candid and very positive meeting between
Tom Robinson, Joey Scolari of RARA and
John Parker, it has been decided to move
forward with preparations for the air
races in September 2004. American Air
Racing is looking forward to competing in
the Sport Class and is committed to
raising the level of competition."
Welcome
back John Parker!
With
earlier announced increase in the Sport
Division purse for the 2004 event, (see
details here) the addition of Parker, and
if all goes well with NemesisNXT and
Greenamyer's Lancair Legacy, the
competition in the Sport Division for the
Gold trophy should be the best since the
inception of the Kit-Built racers in
1998.
The Reno
National Championship Air Races will be
held this year on September 16-17-18-19
at the Reno-Stead airport, Reno, Nevada.
