a Ride in a P-51 Mustang at the Tunica
Air Race and Air Show
The Tunica
Air Races and Air Show is offering a once
in a lifetime chance to fly at speeds
over 450 mph in a P-51 Mustang to
participants who purchase their tickets
to the Air Race and Show by Friday, June
3. The winner will be notified on
Saturday, June 4 for flight times.
Participants must be at least 18 years
old to enter the drawing.
The P-51
Mustang was created during WWII to keep
larger fighter bombers from being lost
during daylight missions earning the name
"little friend". Since its
creation, the P-51 Mustang has flown in
at least 25 different countries for more
than 35 years. About 280 P-51s still
exist today and at least half are still
airworthy.
One of
only two events of its kind in the world,
the Tunica Air Races and Air Show will
introduce the fastest motorsport in the
world to the South. The Races will bring
together some of the worlds most
accomplished air racers to compete for
the Tunica Cup, and will feature the
Unlimited, T-6 and Formula One aircraft
racing classes. It will be an incredible
week of exciting racing, great
competition and fun for aviation
enthusiasts and families alike.
