Reno 2000: Sunday AT-6 Gold
Race 77 has probably the longest racing record of any
airplane in the 2000 Reno field – in any class.

It was raced by Ralph Twombly through the 1970's and into
the 80's as "Shatzi." Ralph eventually moved on to faster
airplanes and a couple of Championships, and his old racer
was purchased by Don Davis of Casper Wyoming and raced by
Mike Wright. When Mr. Davis dissolved the Tired Iron operation
Jim purchased the airplane and has been racing it ever since.
